Dr. Timothy E. Wilson (Tim) was born in Easley, South Carolina. He is a 1991 graduate of Easley High School; a 1995 graduate of Anderson University, (B.A.); a 1999 graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDIV); and a 2010 graduate of Erskine Seminary (DMIN). He completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). After seminary, Tim served as an associate pastor and pastor at churches in Texas and South Carolina before answering God’s call to the Army Chaplaincy.
Tim commissioned as a chaplain in the United States Army and entered active duty on January 7, 2003. He served as Battalion Chaplain for 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington; CPE Resident, Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Washington; Hospital Chaplain, Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii; Tri-Services Addiction Recovery Facility Chaplain, Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii; the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force Afghanistan Command Chaplain, Bagram Afghanistan; the United States Army Chaplain Center and School (USACHCS) CH-BOLC Course Manager; the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Chaplain, Fort Campbell, KY; the 82nd Airborne Division Deputy Chaplain, Fort Bragg, NC; and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) Operations Chaplain, Fort Bragg, NC. Tim has five combat deployments for a total of 32 months to Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, and Turkey. He retired from the Army at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2023.
In 2022, Tim answered the call to be Senior Pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC. Immanuel is a strategically S.M.A.L.L.L Church committed to excellence in worship and discipleship, all for the glory of God.
Tim is married to the former Becky Miller of Greenville, South Carolina. They have been married 28 years. The Wilson’s have three children. Meg is 25, married to Andrew Arias, and is a realtor in Fayetteville, NC. Andrew is a Fayetteville policeman. Miller is 23 and a Combat Engineer in the US Army Reserves. Matt is 17 and a senior at Fayetteville Christian School.
Russell Watts was born on September 9th, 1974, in Independence, MO. He is a 1992 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School; a 1998 graduate of Community College of the Air Force, (A.A.S.); a 2009 graduate of Liberty University (B.S.); a 2016 graduate of Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary, (M.A.) and is currently pursuing a MDIV from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Russell has served as an administrator, associate pastor, interim pastor, and pastor at churches in Virginia, Kansas, and North Carolina. Russell has also served in various positions within the local church over the past 22 years.
Russell was a member of the United States Air Force from June 1992 to June 1998. His service, while assigned to the 97th Intelligence Squadron at Offutt AFB, NE, included two deployments to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Southern Watch.
In 2024, Russell answered the call to be Associate Pastor of Administration and Discipleship at Immanuel Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC. Immanuel is a strategically S.M.A.L.L.L Church committed to excellence in worship and discipleship, all for the glory of God.
Russell is married to the former Victoria Keelan of Beeville, Texas, a retired member of the United Stated Air Force. They have been married 29 years. The Watts’ have three children. Madison is 26 and is General Manager of Summer Moon Coffee in Wake Forest, NC. Annalysa is 25 and is a graduate student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Asher is 21 and is an undergaduate student at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in Pembroke, NC.
